Main purpose of the position:



·        Sustain and improve the Quality Management systems to secure that consistent high quality products are delivered to customers, and consumers according to legal and Carlsberg COM requirements.

·        Ensure all legislative requirements associated with Quality and Food safety and all applicable Quality and Food Safety Standards (including ISO, AIB and GFSI standards) are being met throughout the site and supplier base

·        Managing role for IMS program covering quality and food safety, to meet Carlsberg, customer, third party and legal requirements

·        Ensure Food Safety and Quality Systems certification including (but not limited to) ISO 9001, AIB, GFSI, Organic schemes and customer audits

·        Perform Quality trainings and provide constant coaching to operational teams

·        Ensure monitoring of quality performance metrics on site, risk and opportunities are clearly understood in the organisation and acted on appropriately, including on trade/off trade complaints

·        Manage internal audit program and oversee effective closure of non-conformances/observations

·        Audit suppliers and manage supplier performance reviews, driving KPIs and improvement plans

·        Responsible for accuracy of master data input related to quality and food safety and product specifications as well as maintain supplier specifications and COSHH data

·        Advise on labelling regulations, customer information (including nutritional, specifications and questionnaires), customs clearance and artwork approval.

Educational / minimum requirements:


Education and Experience:

·        Engineering, Life Science, Other Technical Programs or Equivalent

·        Minimum 3-5 years quality or production experience, preferably in FMCG or Food industry, with some time at management level.

Language skills:

·        Fluent in local language (spoken and written)

Fluent in English (preferable)




Job responsibilities:



People Management

·        Training of QA and operational teams in line with departmental and individual plans (competencies and skills)



Process Management

·        Ensure investigation and root-cause analysis are conducted and completed for all operational  quality failures.

·        Own Customer & Consumer complaint management process

·        Advise and support the site operational team on all QA issues within their areas of responsibility (incl. Quality investigations, risk assessments)

·        Monitor, track and ensure legal compliance to the Country legislation

·        Ensure finish products meet all Carlsberg standards and specifications.

·        Stop work in any particular area due to quality issues – risk for food safety (Stop work authority)

·        Provide detailed QA input into QA department Long Term Development Plan (LDP)process

·        Primary contact for all external audits and assessments conducted at site(s) including ISO, food safety and other country required compliance assessments.


Performance Management

·        Delivering effective performance from all site quality and food safety systems and procedures.

·        Driving improvements in productivity and efficiency of all quality assurance and control activities.

·        Responsible for managing  Quality KPI s at their respective site in line with Country, Region and Group targets

·        Ensure Quality KPIs are implicitly understood and managed efficiently at an appropriate level (i.e.: RFT, Market Survey etc.)

·        Responsible for consistent collection and reporting of key quality metrics including all RFT (Right First Time) measures.

·        Accountable for monitoring and investigating (as needed) quality related consumer/customer complaints.

·        Initiates local Quality  performance reviews , identify trends , initiates and participates in problem solving activities

·        Managing Quality department financial budget (OPEX)

·        Supporting and advising operational teams in Quality  improvement projects ( related to  OPEX and CAPEX)


Functional Specific Management

·        Conduct field observations, inspections, coaching and guidance, 30% of time minimum in the field

·        Supports local operational teams liaise with service providers and contractors to ensure their compliance with local systems

·        Advises and is a member of the local Crisis Management Team or/and Emergency Response Team in case of critical or serious Quality incident

·        To establish clear expectations with key group stakeholders; provide ongoing updates of actual vs. expected performance of QA within the Plant; identify obstacles and solutions to performance problems. Coordinating and aligning activities with main stakeholders:
