Position Title: Export and Supply Planning Specialist

Department: S&OP/Planning

Reporting line: Supply Planning Associate Manager

Base location: Hanoi, Viet Nam - 167 Minh Khai, Hoa Binh 7 Alley, Hai Ba Trung District 

Strategic purpose of the position:

  • Servicing Export/Import and Cross Border Operations.
  • Securing products availability, high service level, continuous running of the brewery and low production costs through creation of optimum production plans.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Export/Import operations:
    • Lead the Export/Import process ensuring compliance of all internal and external stakeholders
    • Perform all necessary process/administrative tasks enabling an effective export/import of requested products
    • Continuously monitor Export/Import process effectiveness and propose improvements
  2.  Supply Planning:
    • Monitor and transfer the goods to other DC based on the demand
    • Balance stock between DCs and proactive if any risk of shortage/excess in DC or WH capacity constrained
    • Maintain optimized inventory levels and minimize potential scrapping risk of materials/FGs
    • Maintain Returnable MRP for empties
    • Monitor production plans execution at the brewery
    • Create and/or maintain Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports.
    • Monitor and adjust MPS to respond to market/production requirements and optimize costs.
    • Comply with Safety/Health, Environmental & Ethical requirements/standards
    • Other task assigned by superior

Educational & other requirements:
Education:

  • University degree – technical, Supply Chain, Logistics or Economics
  • Other Qualifications:
    - Proficient in MS Office
    - APICS CPIM certified a plus
    - Experience with Navision ERP a plus
    - Language: Fluent in English and local language (spoken and written)

Years & Type of Experience:

At least 3 years’ experience in operational planning, export/import, production planning or other analytical positions in Supply Chain

Functional competencies:

 

·        Demonstrates deep functional knowledge in combination with cross functional overview (T-Shaped)

·        Able to act as guardian and execute the minimum mandatory standards of the Carlsberg S&OP

·        Fully operational with the available tools supporting the process

·        Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning functions

·        Understanding functional master data and challenge functional owners

·        Very detailed knowledge of distribution requirement planning, master production scheduling, inventory management, materials requirements planning, capacity requirements planning

·        Demonstrates detailed understanding of impact of supply plan changes to the end-to-end supply chain.

·        Has the ability to develop planning simulation scenarios

·        Basic understanding of the lean principles, total quality management and theory of constraints

 

Education and Experience / minimum requirements:

 

·        University degree – Technical, Supply Chain, Logistics or Economics

·        At least 3 years’ experience in operational planning, export/import, production planning or other analytical positions in Supply Chain

·        Proficient in MS Office

·        APICS CPIM certified a plus

·        Experience with Navision ERP a plus

 

Language skills:

·        Fluent in English and local language (spoken and written)

Job responsibilities:

Export/Import operations:

 

·        Lead the Export/Import process ensuring compliance of all internal and external stakeholders

·        Perform all necessary process/administrative tasks enabling an effective export/import of requested products – focus on lowest cost and OTIF availability

·        Continuously monitor Export/Import process effectiveness and propose improvements

·        Shows in depth understanding of tools & processes for Portfolio management especially in context of Export process from Commercial and Supply Chain perspective

·        Liaison with all stakeholders as required

 

Supply Planning:

 

·        Familiar with the foundation and steps of Sales & Operations Planning and how his/her job impacts the overall process

·        Monitor and transfer the goods between DC’s based on demand forecast to maintain agreed stock levels

·        Balance stock between DCs and proactively take actions, if any risk of shortage/excess in DC or constraints such as WH capacity

·        Maintain optimized inventory levels and minimize potential scrapping risk of materials/FGs

·        Engage with internal stakeholders such as production, quality and logistics

·        Maintain Returnable MRP for empties

·        Monitor production plans execution at the brewery

·        Create and/or maintain Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports

·        Monitor and adjust MPS to respond to market/production requirements and optimize costs

·        Comply with Safety/Health, Environmental & Ethical requirements/standards

·        Any other tasks assigned by superior from time to time
